Pool volume calculator

How many litres is your pool? Pick the shape, enter the shallow and deep end, and get the number every dose depends on.

Your pool

Pool shape

Average depth = (shallow end + deep end) ÷ 2. Measure the water, not the coping.

How it works

Measure in metres. Average depth is the shallow end plus the deep end, divided by two — the same rule written on Pool setup in the app.

A rectangle then uses the app's own sum: length × width × that average depth × 1,000 = litres.

A round pool uses the area of a circle. An oval uses the area of an ellipse. A kidney or freeform pool is estimated as 85% of the rectangle it fits inside. The app does not calculate those three shapes; this page uses ordinary geometry for them.

Always follow the product label directions. This page only estimates volume. When you add chemicals, follow the label and re-test before adding more.

Keep the number with your pool

Your Pool Mate uses your volume for every dose, in the right order, and keeps a dated record of each water test. The trial is free for 30 days.
